Vero Beach Dentist Robert L. Callery DDS
Rob is a Pittsburgh native and earned his B.S. degree from the University of Dayton. He then went on to attend the Case Western Reserve University School of Dentistry in Cleveland Ohio and graduated in 1987. Before moving to Vero Beach in 1998, he practiced dentistry in his hometown of Pittsburgh, PA. Rob is an Eagle Scout and enjoys spending time in the great outdoors. He is also a fan of Corvettes and often participates in local racing events. In addition to that, he instructs new drivers in accident avoidance and safety practices. Rob is an adjunct professor at Indian River State College and teaches classes in the dental assisting program. In his spare time, he enjoys volunteering at local charitable organizations with his wife Cathie.
Vero Beach Dentist Robert Bruce McDonald DDS
Dr. McDonald is originally from Conroe Texas, which is just north of Houston. During his childhood years, he assisted with the upkeep of his family’s cattle business. Some of his tasks included tending the livestock. In 1978 he began his college education by attending the University of Texas. He completed his education in 1984 when he graduated from the University of Texas School of Dentistry. He then practiced for five years in Texas before moving to Vero Beach, FL. After moving to Florida he started flying for a local skydiving center on a part-time basis, which is where he met his wife Taylor. They are parents to two children and enjoy leisure activities like fishing, boating, and scuba diving, as well as taking cruises to the Bahamas. Dr. McDonald is an active member of the dental community and holds the position of past president of both local and district dental associations. In addition to that, he is a member of the planning committee for the Florida Dental Association’s annual dental convention. He is also a member of many dental associations, including the American Dental Association and The Florida Dental Association. Dr. Mc Donald is a fellow of the International College of Dentists.
Carol Payne, CDA
Carol moved to Vero Beach in 1993, because she wanted a break from the cold weather of Connecticut. In 1994 she became the dental assistant to Dr. Mc Donald at Ocean Oaks Dental Group. Her husband also works there as a dental laboratory technician. Together they have two cats and an English Setter. Carol loves to spend time with her family and friends and in her free time, she enjoys relaxing at the beach, drawing, reading, painting, spending time with her husband, friends, and pets.. If there is ever an office prank, Carol is usually behind it, because she loves laughing.
Robin Selzer, CDA
Robin is a native Floridian and earned her Associate in Science degree in 1982 from the Indian River State College Dental Assisting Program. She married her husband Steve in 1988 and they are parents to two daughters. In 1994 she became a member of the Ocean Oaks Dental Group team and Dr. Callery’s dental assistant. Some of her favorite activities include being with her family, attending concerts, relaxing by the pool, and going to Special Olympic events.
Heather Way, CDA Treatment Coordinator
Heather has called Vero Beach home her entire life and is a proud graduate of Indian River State College. In 1995, she received her national dental assisting certification and was the class president of the graduating class of Indian River State College’s dental assisting program. In addition to that, she also earned an A.S. in dental technology from her alma mater. Heather is an adjunct instructor for IRSC’S dental assisting program at IRSC and has spent her career working in all areas of a dental office. Heather has been the treatment coordinator at Ocean Oaks Dental Group since 2006. She enjoys participating in outdoor activities with her family in her free time, such as fishing and hunting.
Roxanne L. Martin, Dental Hygienist
Roxanne has lived in Vero Beach since 1975 but grew up in Wisconsin. In 1978 she graduated from Vero Beach High School, and in 1989 she obtained her dental assisting degree. She then earned her dental hygiene degree in 1993 and became a hygienist at Ocean Oaks Dental Group that same year. Roxanne is a proud grandmother and enjoys family time, spending time in her garden, baking, fitness activities, gardening, and traveling. She is also interested in photography and stained glass art.
Tamara Welcome, Dental Hygienist
Tamara made the move to Sebastian from Jacksonville in 2001. She holds a dental hygiene degree from Brevard Community College, where she graduated with honors. Tamara is a past president of the Brevard County Dental Association and is currently a member of the American Dental Hygiene Association. Tamara loves her work as a dental hygienist and has worked for Ocean Oaks Dental Group since 2011. Tamara is a people person and spends her free time with her friends and family.
Christine Blais ,Front Office Supervisor
Christine moved to Florida from New Hampshire in 2007. After her relocation, she graduated from Everest University with a B.S. in criminal justice in 2009. She has commanded mission control at Ocean Oaks Dental since 2014. Christine is a proud aunt and likes to travel, work on home improvement projects, and spend time with her cats.
Clare Santangelo, Front Office and Dental Assistant
Clare has spent the majority of her life in Vero Beach but was born in New York. 2017 was an important year for her because she earned her expanded functions dental assistant certifications and started working at Ocean Oaks Dental Group.
Clare likes to spend time with her loved ones and enjoys travel, exercise, and eating sweets.
